Raised in rabbit against the human HTR3C subunit of the ligand-gated serotonin type 3 receptor ion channel, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human samples. The HTR3C subunit is expressed predominantly in the gastrointestinal tract, particularly in colonic tissue, where it contributes to serotonin-driven signaling involved in gut motility and visceral sensitivity, making this reagent useful for studies of enteric nervous system biology, irritable bowel syndrome pathophysiology, and pharmacological research on 5-HT3 receptor subunit composition. Supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum suitable for detection of the HTR3C target in cell and tissue lysates by immunoblotting and in fixed tissue sections by chromogenic or fluorescent immunohistochemistry.
