The HTR3A gene encodes the 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin) receptor 3A subunit, a key component of the ligand-gated ion channel 5-HT3 receptor. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com enables detection of HTR3A in human and mouse samples through Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. The unconjugated format, supplied as 100 µl, gives researchers flexibility to pair the antibody with custom labelling chemistries or detection systems.
HTR3A is widely studied in the context of enteric nervous system signalling, emesis pathways, and neurological disorders where serotonin-gated ion channels play a modulatory role. Reactivity across human and mouse species supports translational research, including comparative studies in rodent models of gastrointestinal motility and central nervous system function. The polyclonal nature of the antibody offers recognition of multiple epitopes on HTR3A, which can improve signal robustness across experimental conditions. Aliquot upon receipt and store refrigerated to preserve antibody activity for research use only applications.
