The HTR2B serotonin receptor (5-HT2B) is a G-protein coupled receptor implicated in pulmonary arterial hypertension, cardiac valvulopathy, and as a target in fibrotic disease research. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against the human HTR2B sequence and validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. It detects the receptor in human, mouse, and rat samples, making it useful in translational studies that span rodent disease models and human tissue archives.
The polyclonal host response offers tolerance for minor sequence variation across species, which is helpful when probing conserved epitopes in serotonin receptor research. Supplied at 100 µl per vial, the antibody is unconjugated, so it can be paired with secondary detection reagents of the user's choice (HRP, fluorophore, or biotin) for chromogenic or fluorescence readouts in IHC, or for chemiluminescent Western blot membranes. The unconjugated format also supports sequential double-labelling experiments with another primary antibody raised in a different host species.
