The HSV tag is a well-characterized 11-amino acid epitope (sequence QPELAPEDPED) derived from HSV glycoprotein D, widely used as a fusion partner for recombinant protein detection and purification workflows. This mouse monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com specifically recognizes the HSV tag, enabling clean western blot visualization of HSV-tagged fusion proteins in cell lysates and purified fractions.
Supplied as 100 µg of unconjugated liquid antibody in a single vial, it performs reliably at working dilutions around 1:1000 in chemiluminescent WB assays. Store aliquots at -20 °C to preserve activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles and avoid repeated freeze-thaw events. For research use only in molecular biology and recombinant protein studies.
