Anti-HSPB1 (phospho S78) Antibody - Identical to Abcam (ab194773)

This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com specifically recognises HSPB1 (also known as Hsp27) when phosphorylated at serine 78 (S78). The reagent was raised in rabbit against a synthetic phosphorylated peptide centred on S78 of human HSP27/HSPB1 (NP_001531.1), corresponding to the sequence ALSRQ. It has been validated for Western blotting (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) applications on human samples, and is supported by four scientific validation images.

Supplied as a liquid preparation in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.01% Thiomersal, the unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG is affinity purified. The expected target protein molecular weight is 28 kDa. Recommended working dilutions are 1:500–1:2,000 for WB, 1:50–1:100 for IHC, and 1:100–1:200 for ICC/IF. The product is shipped at 4 °C; upon receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at -20 °C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.

Supporting validation data include Western blot analysis of HeLa cell extracts treated with UV, overnight serum starvation, or Anisomycin, IHC staining of paraffin-embedded human breast carcinoma tissue using microwave antigen retrieval with 10 mM Tris/EDTA buffer (pH 9.0), and immunofluorescence on methanol-fixed HeLa cells showing cytoplasmic, nuclear, centrosomal and midbody staining.
