A recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody raised against HSP60, supplied by Antibodies.com in unconjugated form for direct chromogen or fluorophore labeling in user-optimized workflows. The reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry, two of the most common methods used to localize the mitochondrial chaperonin HSP60 in fixed tissue sections and to resolve its expression in cell lysates across human, mouse, and rat samples.

Each vial contains 100 µL of antibody in 1×TBS (pH 7.4) supplemented with 1% BSA and 40% glycerol, with 0.05% sodium azide added as preservative. The glycerol-rich formulation helps protect the recombinant immunoglobulin during routine freeze-thaw cycling, while the azide preservative supports short-term bench handling during multi-day staining runs. HSP60 is a heat-shock chaperonin that resides primarily in the mitochondrial matrix, where it assists the folding of imported polypeptides and refolds stress-denatured proteins; its upregulation is frequently examined in models of mitochondrial dysfunction, ischemic injury, neurodegeneration, and tumor biology, where the protein has been reported to be elevated in several carcinoma types relative to matched normal tissue.

Researchers probing chaperone responses, mitochondrial biogenesis, or stress signaling routinely deploy this clone to detect the HSP60 monomer and stress-induced complexes on PVDF or nitrocellulose membranes, and to visualize granular cytoplasmic and perinuclear staining patterns in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections counterstained with hematoxylin. The recombinant production format contributes to lot-to-lot consistency, and the unconjugated presentation leaves selection of secondary antibody, enzyme reporter, or fluorescent label entirely to the end user.
