Anti-HSD3B2 Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against HSD3B2, the type 2 isoform of 3β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase/Δ5-Δ4 isomerase. HSD3B2 is an NAD+-dependent enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of Δ5 steroids such as pregnenolone, 17-hydroxypregnenolone, and dehydroepiandrosterone to their Δ4-keto intermediates (progesterone, 17-hydroxyprogesterone, and androstenedione), driving glucocorticoid and androgen biosynthesis in the adrenal cortex and gonads. Loss-of-function variants in HSD3B2 cause autosomal recessive 3β-HSD deficiency, a salt-wasting form of congenital adrenal hyperplasia. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, shipped in a single vial for storage at -20 °C with minimal freeze-thaw cycling. It is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human and mouse tissue, supporting studies of steroidogenic capacity in adrenal, testicular, and ovarian samples.
