Anti-HSD11B1 Antibody

Offered by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against a synthetic peptide derived from the N-terminal region of human HSD11B1 (11-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1), the microsomal enzyme that interconverts active cortisol and inactive cortisone and is widely studied in metabolic, glucocorticoid and adipogenesis research. Supplied as a 50 µl liquid aliquot at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl) containing 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the unconjugated IgG is recommended for Western blotting and immunohistochemistry on human and mouse samples, where it detects the endogenous full-length HSD11B1 protein. The antibody is shipped on cold packs at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at -20 °C upon receipt, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
