HSC 70 (gene name HSPA8) is a constitutively expressed 70 kDa member of the HSP70 chaperone family that participates in protein folding, assembly, and intracellular trafficking across most mammalian cell types. The Anti-HSC 70 (K251) Antibody from Antibodies.com is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against a region of HSC 70 designated K251, intended for detecting the endogenous chaperone in fixed tissue preparations.

Validated for immunohistochemistry (IHC), this unconjugated primary antibody reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative studies in models of neurodegeneration, cancer cell biology, and proteotoxic stress. The reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, in a 100 µl vial.

For long-term storage, aliquot the antibody and freeze at -20°C to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity; protect from light when not in use. As a polyclonal reagent, the antibody recognizes multiple epitopes on the HSC 70 target, providing strong signal in chromogenic IHC workflows and fluorescence-based detection protocols.
