Offered by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against recombinant human hemopexin (HPX), also known as Beta-1B-glycoprotein, and is intended for the detection of endogenous levels of total HPX protein. The unconjugated antibody is supplied at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µL volume, formulated in phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.4 (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. It is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications and has been confirmed to react with human, mouse, and rat samples, making it suitable for cross-species studies in basic and translational research. The host species is rabbit, the clonality is polyclonal, and the antibody is provided without any fluorophore or enzyme label, allowing researchers to choose their preferred secondary detection system. For handling, the product is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted upon arrival and stored long-term at –20 °C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve binding activity. The suggested starting dilutions commonly cited for similar reagents are approximately 1:500–1:2000 for Western blotting and 1:50–1:200 for immunohistochemistry, although optimal working dilutions should be determined empirically for each assay. This reagent is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
