Anti-HPD Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal primary antibody targets 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPD), a non-heme iron-dependent enzyme that catalyzes the second step of tyrosine catabolism by converting 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate to homogentisate. Mutations in the HPD gene underlie tyrosinemia type III, making the protein a relevant subject for studies of hepatic metabolism, inborn errors of amino acid handling, and inherited disorders of tyrosine degradation.
