Produced in rabbit and supplied by Antibodies.com, this polyclonal IgG reagent targets 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPD), an iron-dependent, non-heme oxygenase that catalyzes the second step of tyrosine catabolism by converting 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate into homogentisic acid in hepatic tissue. The unconjugated, 100 µl format is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry workflows on human and mouse samples.

Investigators working on hereditary tyrosinemia type III, hawkinsinuria, inborn errors of amino-acid metabolism, or hepatic enzyme regulation use this reagent to follow endogenous HPD expression in cell lines and tissue sections. Because the antibody is unconjugated, it pairs readily with custom fluorophore, biotin, or horseradish peroxidase labels chosen for the assay platform, and the polyclonal IgG background supports recognition of multiple epitopes on the target. Storage under standard laboratory conditions preserves antibody activity across repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and the reagent is intended for research use only.
