Anti-HP1 beta Antibody

The Antibodies.com Anti-HP1 beta polyclonal antibody recognizes Chromobox protein homolog 1 (CBX1), a chromodomain-containing reader of repressive chromatin marks. HP1 beta binds histone H3 trimethylated at lysine 9 (H3K9me3) and forms dimers via its chromoshadow domain, recruiting partner proteins that silence transcription and maintain heterochromatin boundaries.

Supplied as 50 µg of liquid IgG per vial, this unconjugated reagent is validated for Western blot, immunofluorescence, and chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) on human and hamster samples, supporting studies of gene silencing, centromeric organization, and DNA damage response pathways.
