The HOXB7 protein is a homeobox transcription factor belonging to the HOX family, which governs anterior-posterior body patterning during embryogenesis. Aberrant HOXB7 expression has been documented in multiple malignancies, including breast, ovarian, lung, and pancreatic cancers, where the protein contributes to proliferation, invasion, and angiogenic signaling pathways.

This polyclonal reagent, raised in rabbit against recombinant human HOXB7, is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows. Provided by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated primary antibody at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the 100 µl size accommodates multiple experimental setups. The antibody reacts with human samples and is suitable for detecting endogenous HOXB7 in cell lysates, formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections, and cultured cells on coverslips.

For best results, store the vial at -20°C in working aliquots to minimize freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from prolonged light exposure. The polyclonal nature of the reagent allows recognition of multiple epitopes on HOXB7, which can be advantageous when examining alternative isoforms or post-translationally modified forms of the target.
