Anti-HO-1 Antibody

Heme oxygenases are microsomal enzymes that cleave heme to produce the antioxidant biliverdin, inorganic iron and carbon monoxide. Heme Oxygenase 1 (HO-1), also designated HSP 32, is highly inducible in response to numerous stimuli, including heme, heavy metals, hormones and oxidative stress.

The immunogen is recombinant full length Human HO-1, and the reagent detects endogenous levels of HO-1 protein. Affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen, the purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. The target migrates at approximately 34 kDa. The product is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide and 50% Glycerol.
