This unconjugated mouse monoclonal antibody recognizes HNRNPU (Heterogeneous Nuclear Ribonucleoprotein U), a multifunctional nuclear scaffold protein that anchors chromatin loops to the nuclear matrix, participates in pre-mRNA splicing and polyadenylation, and contributes to the DNA damage signaling cascade. HNRNPU has attracted research attention in cancer biology, where altered expression has been reported in multiple tumor types, and in neurogenetics, where heterozygous loss-of-function variants are linked to an HNRNPU-related neurodevelopmental syndrome characterized by developmental delay, seizures, and congenital anomalies.

Researchers using this reagent for Western blot on human cell lysates can probe the approximately 120 kDa HNRNPU band and explore its regulation in response to transcriptional or genotoxic stress. The 100 µl product is supplied as purified monoclonal antibody in 0.1 M Tris-Glycine buffer (pH 7.4) with 150 mM NaCl, 0.2% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol. The glycerol cryoprotectant supports repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and aliquoting on first use is recommended to limit activity loss; long-term storage at -20 °C is advised.

Antibodies.com supplies the reagent with monoclonal specificity for human HNRNPU, an unconjugated format compatible with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies, and validation for Western blot workflows. The sodium azide preservative should be washed out or buffer-exchanged if downstream applications involve live cells, in vivo work, or amine-reactive labeling chemistries that are sensitive to azide.
