Manufactured by Antibodies.com as a catalog primary antibody, this Rabbit polyclonal reagent targets the heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein F (HNRNPF) and is supplied in a 50 µl volume at a working concentration of 1.0 mg/mL. The immunogen used to raise the antibody is a recombinant protein of human HNRNPF, and the product is unconjugated, allowing flexibility for downstream labelling workflows. Following affinity purification against the immunogen, the antibody is formulated in phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.4 (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), containing 150 mM sodium chloride, 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative, and 50% glycerol. For stability, the vial is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted upon arrival and stored at −20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. Recommended applications listed on the supplier datasheet are Western blotting (WB) and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), and the antibody specifically detects endogenous levels of total HNRNPF protein in validated human and mouse samples. Researchers working with cell lysates or fixed-cell preparations can therefore apply the reagent directly without further optimisation of the diluent. The polyclonal nature of the host response provides recognition of multiple epitopes across the target, which can be advantageous when probing for full-length HNRNPF under varying expression conditions. Intended strictly for research use, the reagent is not cleared for diagnostic or therapeutic applications and should be handled with appropriate laboratory precautions given the sodium azide content of the storage buffer.
