Anti-hnRNP C1 / C2 Antibody

The hnRNP C1/C2 proteins are abundant nuclear RNA-binding components of heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein particles that package nascent pre-mRNA and contribute to spliceosome assembly. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised in rabbit against the C1 isoform and cross-reacts with the alternatively spliced C2 variant encoded by the same HNRNPC locus. The antiserum is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated reagent, validated for Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF) on human samples. Because both isoforms arise from a single gene, antibodies directed at the shared backbone allow investigators to monitor total hnRNP C levels in nuclear extracts, fixed tissue sections, and cultured cells without distinguishing the variants. The unconjugated format offers flexibility to conjugate the antibody to fluorophores, HRP, or biotin depending on the chosen detection platform.
