Anti-hnRNP C1 / C2 Antibody

This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets the heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins C1 and C2 (hnRNP C1/C2), a pair of related RNA-binding proteins produced by alternative splicing of the same HNRNPC transcript. The larger C1 isoform (~41 kDa) and the shorter C2 isoform (~33 kDa) assemble into stable heterotetramers in the nucleus, where they package nascent pre-mRNA and influence splice site selection, 3' end processing, and mRNA stability.

The reagent is supplied as 50 µl of unconjugated rabbit antiserum for western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), and ELISA workflows across human, mouse, and rat samples. Polyclonal reactivity enables simultaneous recognition of both C1 and C2 isoforms, supporting studies of alternative splicing regulation and ribonucleoprotein complex assembly in cell biology and RNA processing research.
