Heme Oxygenase 1 (HMOX1), also called HO-1, is a 32 kDa inducible enzyme that catalyzes the rate-limiting step in heme catabolism, yielding biliverdin, carbon monoxide, and free ferrous iron. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against HMOX1 and supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated reagent. It has been validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation workflows, with reactivity confirmed against human, mouse, and rat samples. Researchers studying oxidative stress, inflammation, and the cellular cytoprotective response use this reagent to track HMOX1 induction under conditions such as hypoxia, heavy-metal exposure, and cytokine stimulation, where the protein acts as a sensitive marker of cellular stress.
