High Mobility Group Box 3 (HMGB3) is a non-histone chromatin-associated protein that participates in DNA bending, transcriptional regulation, and chromatin remodeling. This polyclonal rabbit antibody, supplied by Antibodies.com, was raised against HMGB3 and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples.

Produced in rabbit as an IgG preparation, the reagent is unconjugated, which makes it suitable as a primary reagent for users who want to apply their own detection chemistry, including HRP, biotin, or fluorophore conjugates. Each vial contains 200 µL of antibody, sufficient for multiple immunoblotting membranes or a series of IHC tissue sections depending on dilution.

HMGB3 expression has been investigated in spermatogenesis, where it supports the self-renewal of spermatogonial stem cells, and in several cancer contexts including colorectal, bladder, and lung adenocarcinoma, where elevated HMGB3 levels correlate with proliferative and migratory phenotypes. Researchers studying these biological systems use this reagent to assess HMGB3 protein abundance in cell lysates by WB and to localize expression in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue by IHC.

For handling, the antibody is stored at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, with short-term use at 4 °C. Buffer composition and recommended starting dilutions are provided on the accompanying product datasheet from Antibodies.com.
