HLA-F is a non-classical major histocompatibility complex class I molecule whose functions extend beyond classical peptide antigen presentation, contributing to modulation of innate immune surveillance and adaptive responses. The Antibodies.com rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against HLA-F is supplied as a 200 µl unconjugated IgG preparation validated for western blot detection in human and rat samples.

This polyclonal reagent recognises epitopes across the HLA-F heavy chain, of particular interest because the protein can reach the cell surface independently of β2-microglobulin and peptide cargo. Documented contexts for HLA-F heavy-chain expression include the maternal-fetal interface, activated lymphocytes, NK cells, and immune responses linked to viral infection and transplantation tolerance. Listed reactivity with both human and rat samples enables translational work in rodent pregnancy immunology, allograft survival, and infectious disease models where HLA-F function can be tracked in tissue lysates.

Polyclonal coverage spans the extracellular α1 and α2 heavy-chain domains as well as the cytoplasmic tail, giving broader recognition of denatured HLA-F in reduced western blot workflows. The unconjugated format leaves end users free to pair the antibody with their preferred reporter-conjugated secondary. Store refrigerated upon arrival, protect from light, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles by aliquoting the stock after first thaw. Intended for research use only.
