This unconjugated polyclonal IgG preparation from Antibodies.com targets the alpha subunit of HLA-DO, a non-classical MHC class II protein. Raised in rabbit hosts, the reagent is supplied as 50 µl of antiserum and is validated for Western Blot detection of the human HLA-DOA antigen.

HLA-DO assembles intracellularly with HLA-DOB to form an alpha/beta heterodimer that localizes mainly to endosomal and lysosomal compartments of B lymphocytes, where it modulates peptide loading onto classical class II molecules by regulating HLA-DM activity. Researchers investigating antigen processing and presentation, B-cell maturation, or MHC class II trafficking can use this antibody to probe HLA-DOA expression in human cell and tissue lysates by immunoblotting, where the expected band migrates in the low molecular weight range consistent with the mature alpha chain.

The unconjugated format leaves labeling chemistry entirely in the user's hands, so the primary reagent pairs cleanly with any HRP-, AP-, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibody chosen for the detection system, whether chromogenic, chemiluminescent, or fluorescent readout is preferred. Provided at 50 µl, the polyclonal formulation offers multiple uses for routine WB experiments on human samples and is supplied by Antibodies.com as part of their primary antibody portfolio for immunology research.
