The Antibodies.com Anti-HIV1 p24 Antibody (Biotin) is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against the 24 kDa capsid protein of Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1, supplied as 100 µg of liquid IgG for direct streptavidin-based detection. The biotin label enables signal amplification across western blot (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and ELISA workflows, where it pairs cleanly with streptavidin-HRP or streptavidin-fluorophore reporters. Because p24 is a structural capsid antigen expressed during active viral replication, biotinylated anti-p24 polyclonal antibodies are widely used to monitor virion production in infected cell lysates, transfected culture supernatants, and pseudovirus assembly assays. For optimal stability, store the vial frozen at -20 °C in single-use aliquots, limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light to preserve biotin activity. This reagent is intended for research use only in virology, vaccine development, and infectious disease laboratories, and is not validated for clinical diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
