Validated for ELISA and WB applications, the antibody reacts with Human immunodeficiency virus. P24 is the 24KDa, non-glycosylated protein that forms the core (capsid) of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and other Lentiviruses in the Retroviridae family. It is expressed immediately after HIV infection and is detectable before host HIV antibody can be detected, making HIV p24 a target for early diagnosis of HIV acute infection.
