The HIV-1 p24 capsid protein is a widely used target for detecting viral particles in research workflows, particularly during the early window of infection before host antibodies are produced. This Mouse monoclonal reagent (clone 1027) from Antibodies.com recognises an epitope on p24 and is supplied as a lyophilised 100 µg vial for convenient reconstitution to working concentrations suitable for ELISA and Western blot (WB) assays.

Produced in Mouse and of the IgG1 isotype, the antibody is unconjugated, allowing direct integration into custom detection panels, plate-based capture formats, or HRP- and fluorophore-labelled secondary systems. Researchers working on viral antigen quantification, neutralisation studies, vaccine development, and cell-based infection models use this clone to track p24 expression in transfected cells, infected cultures, and recombinant protein preparations.

Lyophilisation removes the need for cold-chain shipping, and the dried pellet shows an extended shelf life when stored dry at refrigerated temperatures. For reconstitution, a brief centrifugation step before opening the vial is recommended to bring the pellet to the bottom; resuspend in sterile buffer appropriate for the downstream application.

Reactivity is reported against Human immunodeficiency virus, and the reagent has been cited in studies examining viral assembly, Gag processing, and antiretroviral compound screening. Each lot is quality controlled, and the antibody is supplied for research use only.
