Histone H4 phosphorylated at serine 1 (H4S1ph) is a chromatin mark deposited during mitotic chromosome condensation and is also elevated at DNA double-strand break sites, where it contributes to the recruitment of repair factors. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com recognizes the N-terminal tail of Histone H4 when phosphorylated at S1 and has been validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows in human, mouse, and rat samples. The antibody is supplied as 50 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, and ships ready to dilute into standard blocking buffers for chromatin and nuclear extract applications. Polyclonal sera typically yield robust signal across multiple epitopes surrounding the phospho-S1 site, supporting detection of the mark in acid-extracted histone preparations as well as in fixed cells and tissue sections.
