Anti-Histone H3 (tri methyl K9) Antibody

Available from Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody recognises Histone H3 when trimethylated at Lysine 9. The reagent is supplied as an unconjugated liquid in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.01% thiomersal, and has been purified by affinity chromatography. It is of the IgG isotype and shows reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples.

The immunogen is a synthetic trimethylated peptide corresponding to the region around K9 of human histone H3 (NP_003520.1), with the peptide sequence ARKST. The target protein has a molecular weight of 17 kDa. Validated applications include Western blot, immunohistochemistry, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation, ChIP, ChIPseq, and Dot Blot. Recommended starting dilutions are Dot Blot 1:500–1:2,000, Western blot 1:100–1:500, immunohistochemistry 1:50–1:200, ICC/IF 1:50–1:200, and ChIP 1:50–1:200. The product is shipped at 4°C and should be aliquoted and stored at −20°C upon delivery, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Concentration is reported as lot specific.
