Anti-Histone H3 (tri methyl K4) Antibody

This primary antibody from Antibodies.com is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against histone H3 tri-methylated at lysine 4 (H3K4me3). It is of the IgG isotype and supplied as an unconjugated liquid.

According to the manufacturer datasheet, the antibody is prepared by affinity purification and formulated in phosphate buffered saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.05% Proclin 300. The immunogen is a synthetic trimethylated peptide around K4 of human histone H3 (NP_003520.1), with sequence RTKQT, and the target protein has a reported molecular weight of 17 kDa. Concentration is described as lot specific.

The antibody reacts with human, mouse and rat samples. Validated applications include Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunoprecipitation, ChIP, ChIP-seq and dot blot, with immunofluorescence additionally listed on the Antibodies.com product page. Recommended dilutions are 1:500–1:2,000 for dot blot, 1:100–1:500 for Western blot, 1:50–1:200 for IHC, and 1:20–1:100 for both ChIP and ChIP-seq. The reagent is shipped at 4°C and should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
