Anti-Histone H3 (Tri-Methyl K36) Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against a synthetic KLH-conjugated peptide spanning residues 1–100 of human Histone H3 tri-methylated at Lys36 (H3K36me3). The antiserum was epitope-affinity purified by chromatography and migrates as a single band at greater than 95% purity by SDS-PAGE, recognising an endogenous target of approximately 17 kDa. It is supplied as a 50 µL aliquot at 1 mg/mL in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol; the glycerol-based buffer allows the unconjugated antibody to be stored at –20 °C without freeze-thaw damage. Specificity is restricted to histone H3 only when tri-methylated at Lys36, with no cross-reactivity against the unmodified, mono-methylated or di-methylated forms, making the reagent well suited to chromatin and epigenetics workflows. Validated applications include Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), immunoprecipitation (IP), chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) and ChIP-seq, and the antibody shows reactivity against human, mouse and rat samples.
