Histone H3 phosphorylated at threonine 11 (phospho T11) is a chromatin modification tied to mitotic chromosome condensation and to G2/M cell-cycle progression, making it a useful marker for tracking dividing cells. From Antibodies.com, this unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent is supplied in a 50 µl vial and validated for western blot detection of the modified histone in human, mouse, and rat samples. Researchers load whole-cell or tissue lysates on SDS-PAGE, transfer to a membrane, and probe with the primary antibody before applying an HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagent for signal development. Because the antibody is unconjugated, the secondary reagent must be matched to the rabbit host and chosen to suit the chosen detection chemistry. Working aliquots are recommended so that repeated freeze-thaw cycles do not erode the phospho-specific binding activity over the working shelf life of the vial.
