Anti-Histone H3 (mono methyl R8) Antibody

Offered by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody recognises Histone H3 when mono-methylated at arginine 8 (R8). It is unconjugated and reactive with human, mouse and rat samples, and is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, ChIP, and ChIP-seq workflows.

The reagent was raised against a synthetic monomethylated peptide corresponding to residues surrounding R8 of human histone H3 (NP_003520.1), with the immunogen sequence TARKS. It is affinity purified and supplied as a liquid in Phosphate Buffered Saline, pH 7.3, containing 50% glycerol and 0.01% thiomersal; the concentration is lot specific. The target protein has a reported molecular weight of 17 kDa.

Recommended starting dilutions are WB: 1:100–1:500, IHC: 1:50–1:200, ICC/IF: 1:50–1:200, IP: 1:50–1:200, ChIP: 1:20–1:100, and ChIP-seq: 1:20–1:100. The product is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at −20 °C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.
