Anti-Histone H3 (Mono-Methyl K79) Antibody

Sourced from Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified reagent is a Rabbit polyclonal preparation raised against a synthetic peptide conjugated to KLH and derived from within residues 1–100 of human Histone H3 mono-methylated at K79. The unconjugated antibody is supplied at a concentration of 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and is offered in a 50 µl pack size for research-use applications. The antibody specifically recognises endogenous levels of histone H3 only when mono-methylated at Lysine 79 (predicted molecular weight ~17 kDa) and has been validated for Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) and ChIP-sequencing workflows. It shows reactivity with Human, Mouse and Rat samples and was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using epitope-specific immunogen, achieving approximately 95% purity as judged by SDS-PAGE, making it a reliable tool for epigenetics research into histone methylation marks.
