Generated in rabbits through immunization with a synthetic peptide corresponding to histone H3 bearing the di-methylated lysine 79 modification, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent is supplied by Antibodies.com at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol for routine laboratory handling. The 100 µl aliquot supports chromatin research probing the epigenetic landscape, where H3K79me2 marks actively transcribed gene bodies and is deposited by the methyltransferase DOT1L.
