Anti-Histone H3 (asymmetric di methyl R8) Antibody

Rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com directed against Histone H3 bearing the asymmetric di-methyl modification at Arg8 (R8). The reagent is supplied unconjugated and is of the IgG isotype, and it reacts with Human, Mouse and Rat samples. The protein target is Histone H3.

The antibody was raised against a synthetic asymmetric dimethylated peptide around R8 of human histone H3 (NP_003520.1), with the peptide sequence TARKS, and is affinity purified. It is provided as a liquid in Phosphate Buffered Saline, pH 7.3, with 50% Glycerol and 0.05% Proclin 300. The reported molecular weight of the target is 17 kDa.

Validated applications are Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), Immunoprecipitation (IP), and Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP). Recommended dilutions are WB 1:100–1:500, IHC 1:50–1:200, ICC/IF 1:50–1:200, and ChIP 1:20–1:100. The product is shipped at 4°C; on receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided. Concentration is Lot Specific.
