Anti-Histone H3 Antibody

The Antibodies.com Anti-Histone H3 polyclonal antibody is raised in rabbit and validated for Western blot detection of endogenous Histone H3 from human, mouse and rat samples. Histone H3 is a ~15 kDa core nucleosomal protein whose lysine and arginine residues (notably K4, K9, K27, K36, K79 and R17) carry post-translational methylation, acetylation and phosphorylation marks that regulate chromatin structure, transcription and epigenetic inheritance. Because Histone H3 is ubiquitously expressed and stably incorporated into chromatin, it is widely used as a loading control when normalizing nuclear or whole-cell lysate signals across lanes. The unconjugated IgG is supplied as a liquid formulation in a 100 ug vial; store at -20 C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and protect from light until use.
