Anti-Histone H3 (Acetyl-K18) Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody is raised against Histone H3 acetylated at lysine 18 (K18). It is supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approximately pH 7.2. The reagent has been validated for Western blotting (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence (IF) applications, including ICC/IF, and reacts with human, mouse and rat samples.

The antibody was generated using a synthetic peptide incorporating acetyl-lysine 18 of Histone H3 as the immunogen. It selectively detects endogenous levels of Histone H3 protein only when the protein is acetylated at Lys18. The reagent has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen, and the purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. The target protein has an approximate molecular weight of 17 kDa.
