Anti-Histone H2A.X Antibody

A recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody directed against histone H2A.X phosphorylated at Ser139 (γH2AX), supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated primary antibody in a 100 µL liquid format. The γH2AX mark is generated at chromatin that flanks DNA double-strand breaks within minutes of damage, making this reagent a core tool for studying the DNA damage response, genotoxic stress, and ATM/ATR/DNA-PKcs kinase signaling.

Validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows, the antibody cross-reacts with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples and is therefore suitable for parallel work on cultured cell lines, animal tissue sections, and primary cell preparations. γH2AX foci counting by immunofluorescence or chromogenic IHC is routinely used to quantify ionizing radiation dose, evaluate candidate chemotherapeutics, and monitor repair kinetics in cancer biology and radiobiology programs.

The antibody is provided in 1×TBS at pH 7.4 with 1% BSA, 40% glycerol, and 0.05% sodium azide as preservative. Aliquot on arrival and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve activity across multiple experiments.
