Engineered for chromatin and epigenetics research, this recombinant primary antibody from Antibodies.com is a rabbit monoclonal reagent raised against the hydroxylated tyrosine-39 (Y39) epitope of Histone H2A, allowing selective detection of this post-translational histone mark. It is supplied as an unconjugated liquid preparation of 50 µl, formulated in 1×TBS (pH 7.4) with 1% BSA and 40% glycerol, and preserved with 0.05% sodium azide; the product is shipped cold (4 °C) and should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C upon receipt, with repeated freeze–thaw cycles avoided to preserve full activity. The antibody is of the IgG isotype and is recommended for Western Blotting (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC), where it has been validated on human, mouse and rat samples, with reactivity across the three species confirmed by the supplier. Affinity-purified and derived from a recombinant rabbit host, the reagent targets the core nucleosome component Histone H2A (Swiss-Prot P04908 family), making it well suited for studies of histone code modifications, chromatin remodeling and DNA-templated processes such as transcription and repair, and it is intended for research use only.
