Anti-His Tag Antibody

This mouse-derived polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets the polyhistidine affinity tag, enabling detection of recombinant His-tagged fusion proteins across standard biochemical workflows. The unconjugated IgG antibody is supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot and supports Western Blot, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation applications without the need for secondary reporter conjugation during the primary binding step.

Because the reagent recognizes the poly-His motif itself rather than a specific host protein, it is broadly useful for verifying expression of His-tagged constructs in bacterial, yeast, insect, or mammalian lysates, confirming the success of immobilized-metal affinity chromatography (IMAC) purifications, and tracking tagged proteins in immunoprecipitation experiments. Polyclonal reactivity delivers recognition of multiple epitopes within the His Tag, which can improve signal in Western Blot detection of partially denatured or conformationally variable targets.
