Anti-HIF2a Antibody

A Rabbit polyclonal antibody targeting HIF-2 alpha (also known as EPAS1/HIF2a), supplied by Antibodies.com as part of their Primary Antibodies range. The unconjugated IgG reagent is validated for Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), with reactivity confirmed against Human and Mouse samples.

The antibody was raised against a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 678-745 of human EPAS1/HIF2a (NP_001421.2) and is affinity-purified. It is supplied as a liquid in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% Glycerol and 0.05% Proclin 300, and the target protein has a molecular weight of 120 kDa. Recommended starting dilutions are WB: 1:500-1:2,000, IHC: 1:50-1:200, and ICC/IF: 1:50-1:200.

The reagent is shipped at 4°C; upon receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The antibody has been cited in research using mouse models of Acanthamoeba infection, where HIF2a expression was examined in host tissues alongside HIF1a.
