The Antibodies.com polyclonal antibody recognizes HIC2, a zinc-finger and BTB domain-containing transcriptional repressor related to the HIC1 tumor-suppressor family. HIC2 participates in chromatin-mediated gene silencing through recruitment of histone-modifying complexes and has been studied for its role in development, neural crest biology, and hematologic malignancies including acute myeloid leukemia.
Raised in rabbit and supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, this unconjugated reagent is validated for western blot detection across human and mouse samples. The 100 µl pack size provides ample volume for multiple blotting experiments. Store refrigerated for short-term use and freeze at -20°C for long-term stability to preserve reagent activity.
Researchers studying epigenetic regulation, leukemia biology, or developmental transcription factor networks can use this antibody to probe endogenous HIC2 expression in cell lysates and tissue homogenates.
