Anti-HER2 (Ab-877) Antibody

Polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com raised in Rabbit detects the human HER2 receptor (also known as ERBB2 or Neu), a 185 kDa receptor tyrosine kinase of the ErbB family that is overexpressed in roughly 15-20% of breast cancers and is also implicated in gastric, ovarian, and other carcinomas. This 100 µl unconjugated antibody is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on Human, Mouse, and Rat samples.

In western blot, the antibody recognizes the expected ~185 kDa HER2 band, allowing comparison of receptor abundance across cell lines such as HER2-amplified SKBR3 or BT-474 versus low-expressing controls. In immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue, it supports assessment of HER2 expression levels in tumor sections and complements clinical HER2 scoring workflows.

Researchers studying HER2-driven tumor biology, mechanisms of trastuzumab or lapatinib response and resistance, ErbB receptor heterodimerization, or downstream signaling through MAPK and PI3K pathways use this reagent to profile receptor expression. The unconjugated format provides flexibility for pairing with secondary detection reagents and labeling strategies appropriate to each experimental setup.
