Anti-Hepatits E Virus ORF2 Antibody [2H6]

This Mouse monoclonal antibody (clone 2H6), supplied by Antibodies.com, targets the Open Reading Frame 2 (ORF2) capsid protein of Hepatitis E Virus (HEV). ORF2 encodes the major structural capsid polypeptide of roughly 660 amino acids, which assembles into the icosahedral viral particle and is the principal antigen recognised in HEV serology.

Each vial contains 100 µg of lyophilised IgG1 in an unconjugated format, validated for ELISA detection of human hepatitis E virus. After reconstitution, the reagent is suited to studies of HEV antigen capture, recombinant ORF2 vaccine characterisation, and epitope mapping of the protruding (P), middle (M), and shell (S) capsid domains. The Mouse host background is compatible with standard anti-mouse secondary reagents in indirect immunoassay workflows.

HEV is a non-enveloped, positive-sense RNA hepevirus responsible for acute viral hepatitis worldwide. Genotypes 1 and 2 spread fecal-orally via contaminated water, while genotypes 3 and 4 are zoonotic, transmitted through undercooked pork and game meat.
