Anti-Hepatitis C Virus NS4 Antibody [174]

This Mouse monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against Hepatitis C Virus NS4 and is designated clone 174. It is of the IgG1 isotype, supplied unconjugated in lyophilised form, and is generated in a Mouse host.

Validated for ELISA, the reagent reacts with human hepatitis C virus. It recognises synthetic NS-4a protein covering residues 1689–1735 of the HCV polyprotein, as well as a recombinant chimeric HCV polyprotein of 555 amino acid residues migrating at 60 kDa. Cross-reactivity testing shows the antibody does not recognise recombinant core protein C plus envelope protein M (residues 1–142), synthetic core protein C (residues 1–61), recombinant NS-3 protein (residues 1252–1477), or synthetic NS-3 protein (residues 1378–1458). The immunogen used was purified recombinant chimeric HCV polyprotein (555 amino acid residues).

The product is purified by Protein G affinity chromatography and lyophilised from a 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline solution at pH 7.2. It is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided. Reconstitution is performed with double-distilled water; concentration is reconstitution dependent.
