Anti-Hepatitis C Virus NS4 Antibody [101]

A mouse monoclonal antibody raised against Hepatitis C Virus NS4, supplied by Antibodies.com. The reagent is of the IgG1 isotype, unconjugated and presented in lyophilised form for reconstitution with double distilled water.

Validated for ELISA and WB, it reacts with Human hepatitis C virus. According to the manufacturer, the antibody does not recognise recombinant core protein C + envelope protein M (residues 1-142), synthetic core protein C (residues 1-61), recombinant NS-3 protein (residues 1252-1477) or synthetic NS-3 protein (residues 1378-1458).

The immunogen is a purified recombinant chimeric HCV polyprotein of 555 amino acid residues, and the antibody recognises synthetic NS-4a protein (residues 1689-1735 on the HCV polyprotein) and recombinant chimeric HCV polyprotein (60 kDa). Purification is by Protein G affinity chromatography, and the lyophilised formulation is prepared from 0.01M Phosphate Buffered Saline, pH 7.0. The product is shipped at 4°C and should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.
