Anti-Hepatitis C Virus NS3 Antibody [5]

From Antibodies.com, this primary antibody is a mouse monoclonal (clone 5) raised against Hepatitis C Virus NS3. It is supplied lyophilised as an unconjugated IgG1, validated for ELISA and WB, and reactive with Human hepatitis C virus. Purity is achieved by Protein G affinity chromatography, with the product formulated from a 0.01M Phosphate Buffered Saline solution at pH 7.2.

Immunisation was performed with a purified recombinant chimeric HCV polyprotein of 555 amino acid residues. The antibody recognises recombinant NS-3 (residues 1252-1477 on the HCV polyprotein) and the recombinant chimeric HCV polyprotein at 60 kDa. It does not recognise recombinant core protein C + envelope protein M (residues 1-142), synthetic core protein C (residues 1-61), synthetic NS-3 protein (residues 1378-1458) or synthetic NS-4a protein (residues 1689-1735). Concentration is reconstitution dependent; the product is reconstituted with double distilled water.

The antibody is shipped at 4°C and, upon delivery, should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided. Sp2/0-Ag14 is listed in the source data under the Epitope field.
