Anti-Hepatitis C Virus NS3 Antibody [251]

From Antibodies.com, this mouse monoclonal antibody (clone 251) is raised against the NS3 protein of Hepatitis C Virus and is validated for use in ELISA and Western blot. It is produced in mouse, is of the IgG1 isotype, is supplied unconjugated and is presented in lyophilised form.

The antibody was generated using a purified recombinant chimeric HCV polyprotein consisting of 555 amino acid residues as immunogen. It specifically recognises recombinant NS-3 spanning residues 1252–1477 on the HCV polyprotein and the recombinant chimeric HCV polyprotein at 60 kDa. It does not cross-react with recombinant core protein C + envelope protein M (residues 1–142), synthetic core protein C (residues 1–61), synthetic NS-3 (residues 1378–1458) or synthetic NS-4a protein (residues 1689–1735).

Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography, the product is lyophilised from 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline at pH 7.2 and is shipped at 4°C. On arrival it should be aliquoted and stored at –20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided. The hybridoma was derived from the Sp2/0-Ag14 line; the reagent should be reconstituted with double-distilled water, and final concentration is reconstitution dependent.
