Anti-Hepatitis C Virus NS3 Antibody [242]

Mouse monoclonal [242] antibody to Hepatitis C Virus NS3, supplied by Antibodies.com as a primary antibody for research use. The antibody is of mouse origin and IgG1 isotype, provided unconjugated in lyophilised form and intended to be reconstituted with double distilled water.

It has been validated for ELISA and WB and is reactive with human hepatitis C virus. Specificity is directed against recombinant NS-3 protein spanning residues 1252–1477 on the HCV polyprotein and against the recombinant chimeric HCV polyprotein at 60 kDa. The immunogen used to raise the clone was a purified recombinant chimeric HCV polyprotein of 555 amino acid residues. Purification is performed by Protein G affinity chromatography, and the formulation is lyophilised from 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline at pH 7.0.

According to the manufacturer's cross-reactivity testing, the antibody does not recognise synthetic recombinant core protein C plus envelope protein M (residues 1–142), synthetic core protein C (residues 1–61), synthetic NS-3 protein (residues 1378–1458) or synthetic NS-4a protein (residues 1689–1735). The product is shipped at 4 °C and on arrival should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
