Antibodies.com provides a mouse monoclonal IgG1 reagent raised against the non-structural 3 (NS3) protein of human hepatitis C virus. Clone 133 is supplied as a lyophilised 100 µg preparation in unconjugated form, ready for reconstitution to a working concentration appropriate for immunodetection workflows.

NS3 is a multifunctional viral protein that combines an N-terminal serine protease domain, responsible for cleavage of the HCV polyprotein, with a C-terminal helicase and ATPase domain essential for viral RNA replication. Because of its central role in the viral life cycle and its strong immunogenicity in infected hosts, NS3 is a major target in hepatitis C diagnostics, vaccine research, and studies of virus–host interactions. Antibodies directed against conserved epitopes of NS3 are widely used to track viral protein expression in transfected or infected cells and to characterise humoral immune responses.

The reagent is validated for ELISA and Western blot applications, allowing researchers to detect NS3 in recombinant preparations, cell lysates, and in vitro expression systems. Intended for research use only, its unconjugated format permits flexible pairing with reporter-conjugated secondary antibodies or custom labelling chemistries depending on the assay design. The lyophilised format supports longer-term storage stability when kept at –20 °C, with reconstituted aliquots recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles.
